# Remote authoring sample available during lightship days is no longer available with the latest sdk samples

- **Platform category** : Unity / Scaniverse Web / Scaniverse App
- **Device Model & OS version** : motorola edge 70 (Andriod 16)
- **NSDK or Scaniverse version** : 4.1.0(NSDK)

During the lightship days, there was a sample scene for Remote Authoring. It helped in importing the gaussian splat of our location from wayfarer app to unity. This splat could be used as a reference to build our AR experience precisely around the monument/location. But in the new NSDK samples the remote authoring is missing. All we have is a VPS2 localaization example, which directly localizes from the scaniverse app without the need for importing any splats to unity.

Do we have any examples with the latest NSDK which i can use to replicate the Remote authoring feature.

Hope i am able to clearly articulate my dilemma. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for reaching out.

Yes, we no longer have that Sample because the feature has been integrated into NSDK, it used to be a separate package when it was first introduced back in ARDK 2.

When you download an fbx of a Site on Scaniverse you can import it and it will manually unpack into a usable Mesh and Manifest.

Then you can use the ARLocationManager and ARLocations to author your remote content.
