# Tiempo de procesado mp4

Hello Scaniverse team,
We are running our own tests, but we would like to confirm something with you.
If we upload the exact same capture to Scaniverse for processing, once as the original INSV file and once converted to MP4, should the resulting Gaussian Splat have exactly the same duration and timeline length? Or can the conversion process modify the effective duration used by Scaniverse during processing?
The reason we are asking is that we are considering purchasing an Insta360 X5/AVATA360 drone workflow in the future, and we understand that those files would need to be converted to MP4 before being uploaded. We have already verified that Scaniverse can process the MP4 successfully, but we would like to know whether the conversion could affect the duration of the capture and therefore the amount of footage used for processing.

Hi Jorge,
Thanks for your questions. I’ve sent this over to our Scaniverse folks to get some answers for you (along with the questions from your other post). Regarding your purchase, the Insta360 X5 is currently the recommended device per our [documentation](https://www.nianticspatial.com/docs/scaniverse/360camera/#supported-cameras-and-video-formats) due to the native INSV support, but there are other options we highlight as well that can be used.
I’ll get you answers to your questions as soon as I can so you can weigh all your options.

Hi Jorge,
I’m sorry for the delay in getting back to you on your questions.
Processing duration should be more or less the same, but we’re able to produce higher quality results if you upload the INSV file instead of MP4.
Right now, we are only accepting Insta360 X4 and X5 INSVs. For 360 drones, MP4 uploads yield great results, so your proposed workflow should be totally fine. We still recommend saving the raw INSV or OSV files for if and when we accept those raw file formats in Scaniverse down in the future, as it would make your lives a little easier and would eliminate the need to go through INSV-\>MP4 processing.
