While this error is still due to the rate limits implemented by Niantic, I don’t have any further information regarding if this will be temporary or is just part of the process at this point. I will let you know if I get any updates about this matter.
Yeah, you just have to wait 2-3days and it will go through. Really confusing error message because you think it’s not been registered, but you’ll be emailed when it’s activated.
Any updates? I have scanned enough scans for much more waysports than I can now activate. If I can activate one wayspot a week, I’ll be activating the rest for another year probably. Is it possible to increase the limits? There’s no point in encouraging people to scan a lot and then prevent them from activating what they have scanned.
@Stacy_Niantic it’s not for a particular project, it’s for Overclock feature in Ingress. I’m quality scanning (overlapping scans; different times of the day; both the object and the surroundings) all Wayspots around, averaging 200-300 scans a day, but I can’t activate all portals at about the same day I scan them. I have to wait for 2-3 weeks for Activate button to start the activation, and this is while I already have a bunch of other Wayspots with enough scans to activate, so this becomes a huge bottleneck.
I’m getting this error on every wayspot I try to activate. I have been unable to activate a wayspot since July 17th. I sat with a friend recently. They were able to activate the same portals that I get an error on. This can’t be related to rate limits.
