- Platform category: Swift
- Device type & OS version: iOS
- App version: 4.0.0-b2.26022000
Bug reproduction steps:
- Add your anchorPayload into VPSViewController
- Run App, click “VPS2”, then click Localize Anchor and align
- Background app, move a few feet away
- Re-open app, notice that app does not relocalize
Having this feature in the demo app would be really nice to have - seeing a ‘best practices’ for relocalizing.
Hi Kyle,
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I’ll send this over to our team that works on the demos and also test it out myself. I’ll reach back out to you if I have additional questions.
Hi Kyle,
So the expected behavior is that the sample will pick up with localization once it’s opened back up. By any chance did you happen to try localizing via the Sites sample as well? In the sites sample, once you pick the site you want to localize to, it just opens up the same VPS2 sample to localize.
Can you give it a try and see if sending the VPS2 session that opens via the Sites sample also doesn’t relocalize?
Hi Kyle,
Another update on my end:
So while doing some more testing I noticed some inconsistencies with the standalone VPS2 sample’s localization which I reported to the team. It’s not yet clear if the sample not relocalizing is a side effect of this as well.
I did, however, go ahead and test the Sites sample again which I mentioned in my last reply also calls on the VPS2 sample after the user selects a site to localize to and that sample was able to resume localization after running the repro steps you outlined.
If you have the chance please run the sites sample and see if that one is able to relocalize for you after you localize to a site
