Poor performance viewing Splats in Unity for VR environment

As mentioned yesterday we are working on a project were we want to create a realistic replica of an environment in VR.

One of the techniques we research are the splats. they show very nicely on Web but when we want to put them in Unity. There are some 3rd party efforts but the performance is not good.

Do you have plans to integrate viewing splats into the Unity SDK? And / or are there other ways you can help us?
