AR Objects Disappearing or Not Anchoring Properly in Niantic Spatial Apps

Hello

I have been experiencing an issue where AR objects in Niantic Spatial applications either disappear randomly / fail to anchor properly in the real world. :slightly_smiling_face:

Sometimes, they drift away after a few seconds, while other times, they don’t appear at all despite following the correct setup process. This issue seems more frequent in outdoor environments or when switching between different surfaces. :upside_down_face:

I’ve tried troubleshooting by adjusting lighting conditions, ensuring my device’s AR capabilities are properly calibrated, and even reinstalling the app.

While these steps occasionally help, the problem persists intermittently. I suspect it could be related to environmental tracking, device compatibility, or even GPS/SLAM inconsistencies affecting object persistence. Checked https://niantic.helpshift.com/hc/en/6-pokemon-go/section/45-troubleshooting-Alteryx Course guide related to this and found it quite informative.

Has anyone else faced similar problems? Are there any workarounds or best practices to improve AR object stability in Niantic Spatial apps? Any guidance from developers or experienced users would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you !! :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi Derek. I apologize for the extended delay in response.

Are you still encountering this issue? If so, could you share some more information on the setup of your app and how you’re placing content? Have you tried the experimental drift mitigation feature?

I look forward to hearing back from you!

Kind regards,
