Description of the issue: I attempted to scan a POI at night around midnight, even though the monument was illuminated, the Wayfarer software indicated that the scan quality was poor, stating that it was too dark. I need these scans for an AR experience for an event in my city. If I perform the scans also during the day (in a variety of moments of the day), will they still work well at night when I deploy my virtual reality experience, which will take place in night mode?
I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble getting quality scans. If your VR experience takes place at night, you would want to give our algorithm as much nighttime data as possible to ensure a smooth experience for your users. You may be able to get away with taking some daytime scans if you’re in a time crunch, but, for completeness sake, I would highly recommend reviewing our Scanning Best Practices (https://lightship.dev/docs/ardk/how-to/vps/tooling/install_and_use_niantic_wayfarer/#scanning-best-practices) and try again with nighttime scans.
