Test Scans for major demo failing

Trying to demo at a game expo on 8/23 At 6 pm to 10 pm eastern time

“Help me, Obi One, you’re my only hope.” If I don’t have one of these activated, my demo won’t have multiplayer or remixing (ability for users to create mods) activated :frowning:

Hi Tom,

I’m sorry for the belated reply, our support team isn’t on over the weekend. Are the VPS test scans still stuck in processing? I know your expo has passed but we can at least look into them if they’ll still be used as part of your testing

No worries! I knew it was a long short for weekend support. While I thought it was going to make things really bad because I’d have to use the “generic” gameplay edition, the players didn’t care. They really loved it, plus I was able to get feedback on other non-gaming AR use cases. I got a ton of notes to work with.

However, I would love to know if it’s something on my end that’s causing the “stuck in processing” issue. There will be a meetup at Epic’s NYC location, and I’d love to get their early, do a scan and hopefully have it up in time for folks to try out. If I can nail down the process to ensure smooth processing, I think I could make something awesome and wow the folks at that meetup.

Hi Tom,

From the screenshot you shared, the middle scan of the three stuck in processing appears to have had an issue when uploading. As for the other two, did they happen to have already processed today?

We had an issue with scan processing that started late last week where some scans were not correctly processed and it appears that the first and third scans in that screenshot were affected. We have resolved the issue and it appears that the system is correctly processing the scans that were affected.

Yes, they were processed correctly today. :slight_smile:

No problem! If possible I’d suggest seeing if you can pre scan some areas before your next meetup so we can iron out any issues if any any do crop up
