Test scans stuck in “VPS: Processing” for over a week

I have made some scans using scaniverse in my iphone 14 pro max.
In the past my submitted test scans have processed in around 1- 3 hours.
I recently did two test scans on the 28th or April 2025 and they are still stuck in processing.
I then did another scan on 1st of May 2025 which is also still stuck in processing.

I am unsure of what is happening as i have not changed anything to do with the process of how i am scanning.

Not being able to get these test scans processed is unfortunatley blocking the project I am working on. So any help would be greatly appreciated :raising_hands:

I guess a question to go along side this is:
In my app I am testing moving between location points so that is way im making extra test scans. Is the fact the points are so close to others i have made caused this issue?

Thanks

Hi, same here. I tried to delete scans that are processing for more than a week and do new ones, but it did not help. I even tried to create a new account, only to see if there is something wrong with the one I was using, but same results.

I would love to know, if this is technical issue or problem with staff shortage due to recent layoffs. Im not sure if there is human input needed somewhere in the process..

This is causing quite the road block in my development now as i need extra points. Would be greats if someone could help us get this solved as it has been two weeks.

Hi there,

I apologize for the extended delay in response.

We’re currently aware of numerous reports regarding scan upload failure and test scan location creation. At this time, I am working with our engineering team to find a solution, and will send you an update when one becomes available.

Thank you for your continued patience and understanding!

Kind regards,
Maverick L.

@Maverick_Niantic should i be re-attempting my scans again to see if they will work this time? All my subsequent attempts have also ended with them been stuck in pending.

Or is it pointless to try resubbmiting again and that i need to wait until the scans i have made eventually resolve when you have addressed the issue?

@Maverick_Niantic Having the same issue. Please advise, the project is time sensitive.

Some developers have had luck with test scans processing since we’ve pushed an update; others have not. I would recommend completing new test scans and periodically checking if they process successfully. We’re still working on ironing out issues internally to address this across the board.

@Patrick_Burton When did you perform those scans? What device are you using?

Thanks @Maverick_Niantic. I performed the scans this Tuesday, May 13, with the latest version of Scaniverse/GSB. I used an iPhone 15 Pro.

Is there a chance that the scans that are stuck in processing will eventually process or is it much more likely that I will need to capture those scans again? I ask because I don’t have every day access to the location I am trying to capture, I will need to schedule a time to scan well in advance.

If your scans are still reflecting the “Processing” status two days later, they are unfortunately impacted by the bug we’re actively trying to resolve. I will continue to keep this thread updated as I hear more.

Thanks for your continued patience and understanding!

I redid my scans again and they have processed through.
Would be good for us to have a way to delete the stuck/broken scans from the list of locations.

I’m glad to hear you were able to get new scans processed! I appreciate the suggestion and will pass it along!
