Unable to find the VPS-activated spot via VPS coverage API

Include the following details (edit as applicable):

  • Issue category: VPS / CoverageAPI
  • Device type & OS version: iOS
  • Host machine & OS version: Mac
  • Issue Environment : On Device
  • Xcode version: 16.4
  • ARDK version: 3.15
  • Unity version: 2022.3.51f1

Description of the issue:

Hi,

I am currently using the VPS coverage API to query the VPS-activated spots nearby. I have already used Scanverse to scan some VPS spots. In the geospatial browser, it shows that the spot is activated and its quality is experimental. I set the CoverageClientManager with useCurrentLocation as true and radius of 1000 meters which is large enough to cover.

However, I still cannot find this VPS spot via CoverageAPI client.

This is the basic info of this VPS spot:

TU Delft: Concrete Lip Public Sculpture Delft, ZH, NL 52.00 / 4.38 Active Experimental

Could anyone explain why I cannot find it?

Best, Zhenlin

Hi Zhenlin,

Could you share the link to this location from the Geospatial Browser?

Hi Jesus,

Here is the link of the location I mentioned above:

Not only this experimental VPS location, but also others nearby within my surroundings such as

are also not available when I was using coverage API. I remember these locations are activated by myself through scanverse recently. However, for the previous activated VPS locations (whether experimental or production quality) were all finable via coverage API.

Best, Zhenlin

Hi Zhenlin,

Thanks for your patience. I looked into the issues with these Wayspots and it appears that it’s a bug with the Coverage Client that our team is already addressing. I can’t speak to when it will be resolved but a fix is already being worked on and should be pushed out soon.
